Entries and the published deadline
The event-specific DSA entry page currently offers sign-in and publishes a 30 October 2026 deadline. This differs from the earlier closed label on the general listing; use the direct portal and obtain organiser confirmation if it prevents entry.
Arrival and admission
Doors open 8:30am; the proposed start is 9:15am. Competitor admission is AUD $30 over 16 and $15 under 16, separate from event fees. Adult spectators are $35. Check the syllabus for concessions and member discounts.
Event fees and selection
Published per-event fees include the DSA administration charge: professional $40; amateur Open/ProAm $25; amateur graded/synchro $20; U16 couples, recreational and student events $10; U16 solo/lead-follow, all-abilities and social events $5. Match your category to the syllabus.
Rules that affect your preparation
Heel caps are compulsory; spray tanning on site is prohibited. Bring the refundable $5 back-number deposit. Age-group exceptions are limited. ProAm permits one partner per event; coach/student and pro/student single-dance events allow up to three students. Costume changes must not delay the programme.
Your preparation checklist
Budget for event fees and door admission separately. Confirm every partnership with the coach before paying, particularly when the coach has several students. Pack heel caps with the shoes you will actually wear and organise quick costume changes. The proposed start time is a planning reference; your final event schedule still needs checking.
Check the shoes you already train in before deciding whether anything needs replacing. Use our fit and sizing guide and shoe-care and heel-protector guide. Trial changes during practice, with enough time to resolve fit issues before competing.
