Jively Fire Up & Golden Rose DanceSport Open — 2026 Reference & Competitor Guide

Jively’s Fire Up & Golden Rose combines DSA competition with WDSF solo events. Understanding which system administers your event is essential: one registration route does not automatically enter you in the other.

2026 venue and programme
The event ran 28–29 August at Venue 114, 114 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina. The pack included DSA categories and WDSF Open Solo Latin Female events for Juvenile II, Junior II and Adult athletes.
Registration and entries
The published DSA entry deadline was 10 August. WDSF solo entrants required a current Solo Athlete Licence and MIN number and used WDSF’s competition registration system. DSA events used the DSA portal. Event-specific category and partner limits appear in the pack.
Costs and seating
The pack listed AUD $40 athlete registration with unreserved athlete seating or standing. Individual event fees were additional. Spectator day admission was $40 adult/$30 concession or U16. Saturday evening reserved seats were $75 standard or $95 premium; booking fees applied.
Arrival and support
Parking was shared rather than reserved for competitors. Keep the final programme and your pass accessible. Entry, transport and event enquiries: events@jively.com.au. A new edition’s session times and fee schedule must be confirmed separately.
Your preparation checklist
Start by labelling each intended event DSA or WDSF, then check registration evidence and payment for each system. A spectator’s gala seat and an athlete’s competition access may serve different purposes, so decide what your supporters need before ordering. Allow time for parking, number collection and a venue orientation on arrival.
Check the shoes you already train in before deciding whether anything needs replacing. Use our fit and sizing guide and shoe-care and heel-protector guide. Trial changes during practice, with enough time to resolve fit issues before competing.
