2026 session and entry
The published entry deadline was 9 August 2026, using the DSA portal. Doors 8am; recreational events approximately 11am; amateur Open events approximately 4pm.
Admission and entry fees
The pack lists AUD $2 per entered event plus competitor admission: $30 adult or $20 junior/juvenile when entered before closing. General admission was $30 adult, $20 junior/juvenile and $20 age pensioner. Late-entry charges and door arrangements were separate; see the original conditions.
Eligibility and categories
DSA registration and rules applied. The programme included graded/Open and inclusive categories. First-year C Grade events were limited to eligible under-16 competitors in their first registration year, with restricted syllabus and costume rules. Age-group moves were allowed only as specified in the pack.
Organiser and programme
For the next edition, confirm the session, entry deadline, division list and admission terms with secretary@dmia.org.au. The old timetable is retained as background and does not establish next year’s running order.
Your preparation checklist
Set your arrival against the earliest event you actually enter, leaving time for changing and warm-up. For a long gap between recreational and Open sessions, plan food and recovery as well as transport. Have your teacher check first-year eligibility before selecting that category; being new to this particular competition is not the same as being newly registered.
Check the shoes you already train in before deciding whether anything needs replacing. Use our fit and sizing guide and shoe-care and heel-protector guide. Trial changes during practice, with enough time to resolve fit issues before competing.
