Great Western is a WA ranking championship with a broad graded programme and a separately defined first-registration initiative. The 2026 details explain both its entry structure and the costs beyond entering a dance.

Venue and session
The 19 April 2026 edition used Stirling Adriatic Centre, 78 Jones Street, Stirling. Published doors were 8am, with competition commencing at 9am.
Entries and fees
The deadline was 3 April. Entry was through DSA, with AUD $5 per event or $20 for ProAm. Fees had to be paid before the deadline for an accepted entry and back number. The advertised late fee was $30.
Admission and eligibility
Venue admission was $35 adult and $18 under 16. The championship ran under DSA rules. The special first-registration initiative required eligible competitors to register by 31 March 2026 and enter all three events in their age category; restricted syllabus and dress applied.
